Nike Lunar Bandon II Golf Shoes, Improving Wet Weather Game

When we first had the chance to check out the Nike Air Bandon Golf shoes last year we were impressed with their performance on the course, but the new Nike Lunar Bandon II Golf shoes are better than  before and they gave us what we needed, comfort, dry feet and a stylish look.

This new high-profile, full-coverage Nike Men’s Lunar Bandon II Golf Shoe look is not new to Nike but this one seems more basketball-inspired than the earlier version. It has some of their characteristics of the new fall basketball shoes, but still retains a golf look.

The shoe features a seam-sealed synthetic upper, a zipper shroud closure, and a Nike Zoom Air unit in the heel to provide the ultimate in lightweight cushioning. The full-length comfort sockliner and Phylon midsole create a large footbed with exceptional cushioning for all-day comfort. The shoes also sport the Nike Power Platform that liberates your foot for better balance, smoother weight transfer and a stronger push through impact.

What we liked the most in these shoes during the three week long process on the course, was they were able to keep the sock dry in comparison to the previous shoe where we could sense a little of the moisture sneaking in the front of the shoe. We also were able to get the Lunar Bandon to close completely with Nike’s Storm Fit Gear over the collar which was an improvement over previous water resistant and water proof options.

Lee Walker, Nike Golf’s Footwear Product Director stated, “You have outerwear, all-weather gloves, and covers for your golf bag. We wanted to complement that with a shoe that works with the rest of your gear to protect while it performs.”

Integrated Traction on the outsole is engineered to help eliminate clogging and increase ground contact. This level of traction keeps a lower profile, providing the athlete with more stability. Lunarlon cushioning in the heel helps provide lightweight comfort and increased ground-feel.

Again this shoe again the standards of the serious golfer who will want to walk back into the clubhouse dry and in-style. The Lunar Bandon II Retails for $139.99 and is available a local retailers and www.nikegolf.com
