Davidsonville, MD--

Spring time has arrived the Metro Baltimore/Washington area and what a better way to enjoy this time of the year than with a round of golf, okay not just another round of golf. It's a golf experience few will ever experience without traveling several thousands of miles and spending several thousand dollars in greens fees.

By now, you are probably wondering what we are talking about? If you are, then let us tell you about the beautiful gem of the newly opened Renditions Golf's Grand Slam Golf Experience located in Davidsonville, Maryland. Just a short 35 minute drive from the metro area, this course will keep you coming back.

Not only is this course drastically different from what many golfers will expect when they play golf in the Washington area, but it is very unique that it captures some of the best and well known golf holes ever. The goal at Renditions is to capture some of golf's greatest holes and greatest moments right in your own back-yard and what we found when we played this course was nothing short of magnificent.

When it comes to some of the best golf courses that you could possibly play, our staff has brought you some of them, but this is one is different from most of the courses we have featured and offers a challenge, a piece of history and experience all in one.

Once you have stepped up to the first tee of Renditions Number One, you will be greeted by replica of The Country Club #17. Since we started on number eight in our media day tournament, we rounded this hole late in the day and our game at this point was well rounded. We had a great feel for the course. It will offer some challenges, but many of the holes are suited for the low handicapper.

As we mentioned above, we started on the eighth hole, which is the replica of the eleventh hole at Augusta National. This hole is a monstrous 465 yards from the blues or if your in a pro mood then try the gold tees at an extra 20 yards. Our staff had no problem handling this great hole and neither should you. It is very forgiving and its dogleg left design will be the biggest challenge of this hole.

After we had played a few more holes including the famous replica of Carnoustie #6, which is a monstrous par 4 at 520 yards from the blue tees, we started to see how unique this course was and we were wondering when the marshals would start to hold their quiet signs towards the gallery. This hole is what golf is all about and is the longest hole at Renditions.

The hole that many players will find the most challenging will be the replica of the 17th hole at TPC Sawgrass, which will force you to bring more balls. While this hole is only 121-yards to the pin, it will force you to put everything into the ball just to keep it out of the water. This hole will push-up any score if you do not make it on the green. Luckily, this was the toughest hole we would face all day long and our score went down by the time we hit the eighteenth hole of Cherry Hills #16.

After playing several holes the concept of this golf course becomes very clear. If you want an opportunity to walk in a pro's shoes for a day, then this course gives you the best chance to do that. We can't guarantee that you will play like a pro on this course the first time, but you will certainly enjoy making the stroll across the replicas of same holes that have graced the presence of Bobby Jones, Arnold Palmer and Tiger Woods. Everything from the clubhouse the uniforms worn by the employees of Renditions are a tribute to Bobby Jones and the 1930's when he won the British Open, British Amateur, U.S. Open and U.S. Amateur in only a span of a few months.

Once you have completed your round, step inside of the amazing state of the art club house, which once again recreates the 1930's theme honoring the achievements of Bobby Jones. The food is great and the service is impeccable. Hats off to Leanne, the Executive Chef, at Renditions for putting together a great buffet for all of the members of the media.

Inside the remainder of the clubhouse, you will find full locker room facilities, which includes personalized lockers with some of golf's famous names on them, full showers and amenities found at most clubhouses, a fireplace with  two leather chairs placed in front of it, where you can sit and relax, have a drink or smoke a cigar. With this set-up, the clubhouse is certainly suited for the "Kings of the Golf," if you know what we mean.

Moving through the clubhouse, you will find a well stocked pro-shop with some of the best equipment from Callaway and apparel from Nike and Polo. There certainly is something for all levels of golfers and enough to make a fashion statement if you care to.

If you are planning a corporate or charity tournament, this is the place to do so. With full facilities and a comfortable bar and grille, everyone here is pleased to bring you "Golf's Grand Slam Experience."
