The Grooming Lounge was designed with this sole purpose of making men feel comfortable about grooming themselves claims part owner Mike Gilman.  “The idea came from lots of my friends inquiring about purchasing grooming products and services but afraid of the attractive girl at the register. The Lounge was designed to offer the ambiance of a classic barbershop with full service spa treatments designed specifically for men," said Gilman. 

What you will find inside of the lounge is not your corner barber shop with the rotating barber pole. The Grooming Lounge is staffed with vastly trained courteous and professional staff with an expertise in men’s grooming. So whether your getting a shave or just picking up a gift certificate, the professional staff will greet you in a way not found in some other salons and spas. We must admit the staff is pretty well groomed themselves and they have some pretty hot girls working there too.

Next, the Pointed Magazine staff went in to sample some of the services offered by the Grooming Lounge.  We started out with the house specialty the “Hot Lather Shave.” A very enjoyable classic shave which starts out with a succession of seven foaming lathers alternated with six steaming towels and a wonderfully close shave finished off with a face massage and a cold towel to close the pores.  This service is highly recommended.  While we were getting our shave, the Grooming Lounge staff once again showed their high level of attention by buffing and shining our shoes to a glass coat finish. 

Out next service was the  Cleansing Face Treatment, where once you are done with this service, there is no question as to why the face feels refreshed and revitalized. We were instructed on each and every part of what was being done to the skin and some of the products being used. The entire process was very soothing and invigorating. 

Like many of our male colleagues in the business field, we often tend to focus on the face and body but often times forget the feet. So we decided to try the Foot Treatment, which comprises of a foot massage, removal of dead skin and a nail trim. All of this is done while you sit in a massaging chair and have warm water jets circulating water over your feet. This is one of the most soothing foot treatments we have ever had an the care of the feet was extreme.

We followed up the foot treatment with a business manicure. For those who were kind of shy about getting their nails filed and polished, this is the place to have your hands looking good. No more worries of who is looking at you, just total comfort.
