Rosewood's Crescent Court Hotel Dallas, Uptown Dallas Accommodations at Its Finest

Dallas, TX--

After spending a lot of time throughout the City of Dallas the past few years, our staff has had the chance to review several properties in the Metro DFW and there is just something special about having five star accommodations right in the heart of Uptown Dallas.

With the way the surrounding area is growing in popularity, the Crescent Court has stood the test of time and remains the top property for many major professional sports teams and even made an appearance on E TV!’s Khloe and Lamar before he was run out of town by Mark Cuban.

Okay, so you want to see why the Crescent Court is the place all of the stars enjoy staying? Well that is exactly why we ventured out to the property last month and once we stepped inside, we know what keeps guests coming back. You can't beat the location. There is great shopping and tons of excellent restaurants within walking distance. As a matter of fact, the Crescent is in the same complex as the Capital Grille, Nobu and Stanley Korshak. The building is a beautiful one. This definitely ranks as one of our favorite buildings in Uptown Dallas. Perhaps its French inspired design is what makes it happen for us. Or even the calm and quaint courtyard is a plus for guests.

The Crescent Hotel is listed in the August 2010 Travel and Leisure Magazine as one of the World’s Best Hotel Awards (100 rooms or more). The Crescent Court was also Voted Top 100 in the World and Top 9 U.S. Hotel in Condé Nast Traveler's Readers' Choice Awards 2011

When we arrived at the hotel, it had to been less than a minute before was greeted by friendly valet staff who offered to park my car, take my bags and escort me into the hotel lobby.  The two concierges working the desk that evening seemed to really enjoy their job, smiling before I even got to the desk. They made sure they went the extra mile to help us get to the room as quick as possible.

The lobby of the Crescent Court seems to never end when you look up, extremely spacious and elegant. The polished  marble floors insured us if we dropped our dessert on the way back from Nobu that we could pick it up and still enjoy it. The limestone walls and floor to ceiling windows give the luxurious look of old world.  A large glass and wood table showcased tall, clear glass cylinder vases containing beautiful and fragrant orchids.  On each side of the table, sheer ivory floor to ceiling drapes formed spacious alcoves for guests to sit, read and enjoy a cup of coffee or a beverage of their choice.  It makes it hard to really want to get in the elevator and head to the room.

Inside of their City Suites you are going to the best experience at the Rosewood.  These are largest suites on a single level and they have an extensive sitting area with hardwood floors, panoramic window, dining table, 42" flat-screen TV, kitchenette and a half-bath. The bedroom is very spacious and has a seating area, extensive closet space and a large bathroom with separate shower and double vanity. It is nice to actually be able to open the doors and get some fresh air which is something that you don’t find at many hotels. This makes it feel a little more like home for us with the fresh air blowing in morning while we were sipping on some hot tea.

One thing we noticed in the bathroom was the extra space; you can actually relax and enjoy your bath.  We liked that there was a separation of shower and tub area where you or your spouse can choose the level of relaxing.  An extra roll of toilet paper wrapped in pretty, crisp brown tissue paper with a light pink bow was just one of many special little “touches” I noticed during my stay at the Crescent Hotel.  On top of the marble sink you will find favorite bath products of many people, Celadon.   These are not in small hotel sized bottles either. Each has its own pump container, creating a more homely feel.  A very nice touch to all of the amenities you already have at the Crescent Court. Throw on the super plush Rosewood bathrobe after a bath or shower, sit on the couch and enjoy the fresh air blowing in from outside and you will see why leaving the room can be very difficult.

Since most of us are very heath conscious, the Rosewood Crescent Court Hotel has one of the best health facilities that we have seen anywhere in the nation at a hotel of this type. The attentiveness towards the guests at the facility is amazing. It almost makes us want to replace our gym at home with something like this. This definitely isn’t your average Gold’s Gym for sure. Each one of their nautilus machines is state of the art and made working out feel like what we are used to everyday. I liked that they had an attendant pour orange and lemon water whenever I needed and I  replica watches had one prepared for me as I left to hit the showers. I certainly did not want to be all sweaty for the spa treatments.

If you like their health facilities you will certainly fall in love with their spa. Within its quietly opulent 22,000-square-foot facility, The Spa at The Crescent offers 77 one-of-a-kind treatments and services for men and women in 16 state-of-the-art treatment rooms. Luxurious product lines and discreet and knowledgeable service create a spa rivaling others in far-flung locations around the world.

Since we were crunched for time to get all of our events and editorial coverage planned in and around Dallas, we decided that we would take their Fresh Facial for a whirl. Their esthetician staff is extremely knowledgeable and walked us through all of the products they were going to be using during the 25 minute service. The facial left my skin feeling extremely moisturized and refreshed.  If you haven’t had the Clairsonic Brush across your face, this will make you definitely want to purchase one of your own.  All of the Rosewood’s Spa Services can be found at http://www.rosewoodhotels.com/en/crescenthotel/i/downloads/Treatment_Menu_PDF.pdf.

All of the staff made the visit to the spa an enjoyable start to the afternoon.  They even made it a simple check out process by including the 18 percent gratuity right into the final bill. No guessing or forgetting the excellent service, they go the extra mile to make things at ease for you.

The Rosewood Crescent Hotel, 400 Crescent Court, Dallas, Texas, is a great hotel for business, leisure travel or a combination of both.  The Spa at the Crescent is a well-known Dallas institution offering the best in services.  For a relaxing getaway and luxury accommodations, our staff found The Crescent to be a comfortable and gracious retreat!
