Houston, TX--
To pay tribute to longtime friend and musical legend Barry White, next Thursday, January 27th, celebrity chef Isaac Hayes will appear in Houston with several local doctors promoting his new cookbook to help people with chronic kidney disease.
The book comes in response to the death of a close friend and fellow soul music legend Barry White who passed away in 2004 due to kidney failure.
Hayes' goal of the book is to help people with chronic kidney disease revive their passion for good food. He stresses the diet as a key part of managing kidney disease and also focuses on an associated condition known as hyperphosphatemia or high blood phosphorous levels.
When he appears in Houston he will have several key figures that are helping Hayes promote the cause including George Dolson, M.D. from the VA Medical Center and renal dietitian and Jane Louis. R.D of the Renal Care Group
The best feature of this book is going to be its selling price, free! Hayes' general concern is that no one will end up like his friend if they stress the diet as a first concern in their life and with this cookbook and this session next week he hopes there will be some light at the end of the tunnel for those who suffer with kidney disease.
