Mariah Carey Celebrates The Re-Launch of "Emancipation of Mimi" With Hollywood CD Signing

Fans by the hundreds flocked to the Virgin Megastore in Hollywood to catch a glimpse of Mariah Carey as she re-launched her Emancipation of Mimi Ultra Platinum CD.
This event marked a great year for Carey who is the the #1 most successful female artist of all time, with 16 #1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 and more than 150 million albums sold world wide. She is the first female lead artist in the 47 years of the Billboard Hot 100 to occupy the #1 and #2 spots in the same week, with this year's hot tracks that "We Belong Together" and "Shake It Off."
If you haven't heard either of these two songs on any radio station nationwide, then you might have been under a rock for the past two weeks as Mariah has received massive airplay sending them to the number 1 and 2 spots respectively.
Carey applauded her fans here in Hollywood for all of her success recently as many waited for hours to have their CD signed and a chance to meet one of the hottest acts in music.
THE EMANCIPATION OF MIMI: ULTRA PLATINUM EDITION, is the expanded new configuration of her quadruple-platinum Island Records album. The album is tied as the highest certified record to date of 2005 according to the RIAA, and has also sold more than 6 million copies worldwide.
Mariah's new edition recaps the original album's 14 tracks plus four new tracks, including the brand new single "Don't Forget About Us," follow-up to "We Belong Together" and "Shake It Off"; the album to be available in standard expanded CD version as well as special deluxe limited edition two-disc (CD + DVD) package.
