Huntsville, AL--Screw the Rolling Stones tour. Who wants to see the elderly swing and gyrate all over the stage especially at those outrageous prices? And for that matter, who cares about all of the other concerts this year. If you only go to one show this year, make it Theory of a Deadman.
Why you ask? The answer is simply that when Theory of a Deadman comes together for a show, you had better be ready to bring everything you have to the table because this is one the rock band you will never forget.
In Hunstville, Ala. at Sammy T’s Place, Theory of a Deadman showed the crowd why everyone loves rock music from the very second they took the stage. Playing songs like Me and My Girl, Invisible Man and Hello Lonely, Theory of a Deadman brought their A game to the show and rocked the house.
David Brenner’s guitar playing, and even his banjo picking, was flawless. Every lick was sheer perfection and rock and roll bliss. Dean Back kept everything moving with bass excellence but I would be amiss if I did not mention Tyler Connolly. Connolly’s vocals are phenomenal. He sings the hard and heavy songs like No Surprise and Quiver with every ounce of energy he has, keeping the crowd amped up and brings all us back down with his heart-felt cajoling of songs like Hello Lonely.
There is not a single thing wrong with this band. Every song on their latest album, Gasoline, is my new favorite song. The only complaint that I can even remotely come up with is I am playing Theory of a Deadman so much that I have already broken my Ipod once.
Bottom line: if you want to see a great rock show, go to www.theoryofadeadman.com and look these guys up. Even if you have to drive all damn day to see them, it will be well worth your time.
