Arlington, VA--

On any summer night the Clarendon area of Arlington, Virginia is a hotbed of nightlife. Combined with restaurants, outdoor cafes and upscale bars and lounges, it doesn't take much to pack these chill places to hang out, but tonight was an exception, as local radio station Hot 99.5, hosted their Little Black Dress party with Perez Hilton as the host and local favorite artists, Benji and Joel Madden of Good Charlotte performing an acoustic set.

When the Madden brothers finally took the stage just before midnight, we were just glad to see the show as were most in attendance. While we did look around for Nicole Richie for most of the evening, we did not locate her, which means she most likely did not make the trip to Washington with Madden.

Both Madden boys gave it up for their roots of Waldorf and Benji relived his days working at Saint Charles Town Center. Not sure Perez Hilton could blog about that, but he certainly could find something funny to say about Waldorf if he made a trip to see where these guys came from.

By the time Benji and Joel left the stage it left fans just wanting more and more. Some of most popular tunes included " I Don't Wanna Be In Love" off their 2007 release Good Morning Revival and no show, full band or not could not have the most popular tune in their arsenal "Little Things" off their 2000 release Good Charlotte.

As I was leaving the Clarendon Ballroom, I have never wanted to find something other than a little black dress to wear, because when you have hundreds of other girls wearing kind of the same dress, it certainly makes it hard for the guy who though he was talking to the right girl leave you alone... Well most people by the end of the night weren't really sure if their dress was black or white with all of the drinks we saw flowing..

While this was a special night for the Washington area, I highly recommend taking in a show with just the two brothers, it an act to see for sure, providing Benji isn't completely hammered as he was tonight during the show. We didn't have to see it, he told everyone during the set.... still pretty damn good for being hammered we must say.
