We had hoped to bring you a review of the amazing band Hawthorne Heights after a performance this weekend at the 9:30 club but instead we have to pass on the bad news about guitarist Casey Calvert.

Hawthorne Heights guitarist, Casey Calvert died in his sleep on November 24, 2007. News of his death was announced on the bands official website.

“At this time we're not sure what exactly happened. Just last night he was joking around with everyone before he went to bed. We can say with absolute certainty that he was not doing anything illegal.”

 “Casey was our best friend. He was quirky and awesome and there will truly be no others like him!”

Calvert, 26, was married and on tour with the band in Washington, D.C. at the time of his death.

One of Calvert’s favorite writers was Brett Easton Ellis and his favorite movies included Donnie Darko, Fargo and Sin City.
