It's billed as the Triple Crown of Cycling and it is known internationally as the toughest professional cycling course in America. Cycling Teams from around the world converge on the city of Philadelphia to compete in the Commerce Bank Philadelphia International Championship.

It is the richest and longest one-day professional cycling event in America. The course itself measures 14.4 miles but it contains the most infamous and steep 17% grade stretch of road, which is known to everyone in the pro circuit and Philadelphia as the "Manayunk Wall”.

The "wall" as it called has made many a biker think about quitting the race in the 23 yrs the race has been run in Philadelphia. Why? Because the bikers have to cycle 10 laps around the grueling course.

The race started under an overcast sky but the temperature was just right for racing. As the teams lined up at the starting line, the question that was with team would endure to the end. It took 5 hrs, 41minutes and 51 seconds for that question to be answered.

Jaun Jose Haedo nicked named the "Argentinean Rocket" and lead sprinter for Team CSC blasted his way to victory in the last few meters of the course. 

He beat his teammate Matthew-Harley Gross to win his first title in the city of brotherly love. The payoff for winning was $15,000.00.

In the women's race, the "Liberty Classic. Ina Teutenberg won in 2 hours, 24 minutes and 38 seconds. Tuetenberg earned $5,000.00 for the win and added an additional $2,500 for wining the Triple Crown points total.
