Fairfax, VA --
Tonight the Washington Glory continued theirdominance in the NPF with a 6-2 convincing win over the Chinese National team in front of another solid crowd at George Mason University.
The Glory who defeated China 4-1last night looked even stronger behind starting pitcher Desiree Serrano, who recorded her fifth victory of the season.
Serrano who entered tonight's game with a 1.16 ERA just found a way to stymie all of the Chinese players and it wasn't until late in the sixth inning that China was able to make a threat that was stopped by Jen Musillo.
China who has become one of the best teams to beat in the Summer Olympics looked nothing like the team many have seen and not the team that many expect to see on the field in Beijing in 2008.
Washington not only had some great pitching tonight, but they continue to have some great offensive threats as well. Oli Keohohou and Nichole Thompson have led the way with 2 home runs each so far on the season. Jen Chamberlin had also put up some impressive numbers posting a.375 average in 16 at bats.
The Glory will face China tomorrow at 7:05pm and possibly look for the series sweep Sunday at 3:05.
