Fairfax, VA --
After a night when the Washington Glory saw their first walk off home run by Amber Jackson, they continued tonight with another solid offensive pounding of the Philadelphia Force, 5-2.
Desiree Serrano recored another strong outing and continues to rack up the victories with a 14-3 record on the season. Serrano pitched another strong six innings giving way to Jen Musillo who closed out another game.
Trailing 1-0 the Glory opened the game back up when Oli Keohohou hit a home run that cleared the wall in centerfield and they followed that up with three more runs in the sixth inning.
The loss tonight for Philadelphia drops the Force under the .500 mark with a 13-14 record. Stacy Birk took the loss on the mound tonight.
Jodie Cox did limit the Glory damage in the sixth after Birk left the game, but her offense could not help as Serrano struck out the bottom of order in the sixth for the Force.
The series wraps up tomorrow night at 7:05pm, where the Glory can sweep the series with a victory.
After the game, Pointed Magazine and Freek Energy Drink announced its partnership with Desiree Serrano and Nichole Thompson with a tasting at Brions Grille. Both Serrano and Thompson were thrilled to be a part of the Freek unveiling and the partnership created by Pointed and Freek.
