Mike Easton Continues to Bring the Heat, Wins Capital Punishment UWC Title

In what might not have been his toughest fight to date, Mike Easton, certainly showed the fans at Patriot Center why he is easily one of the best UWC MMA fighters to come out of the Washington D.C area, he even impressed the celebrity of the night, Tito Ortiz with his dynamic style and ability to dominate in the ring.
Easton retained the UWC bantamweight belt with his guillotine choke submission win over Josh Ferguson at 4:06 of the first round.
"I just wanted to come in here tonight and put on a good fight for my home crowd. I am glad that everyone came out to see me defend the title. Josh was a tough opponent, and I give him a lot of credit for stepping in the ring tonight against me," said Easton.
Ferguson, who was very emotional after the fight went to his corner in disbelief that he was brought to the mat so forcefully after being pinned against the fence early into the round.
"I gave it my best, Mike is a tough guy and I respect him in the ring, but I felt like I was trapped and they called the fight a bit early. He should have separated us and I would have maybe stood a chance, but the results are how they stand," said Ferguson.
