Scottsdale, AZ--
Once Are you traveling or living in the Phoenix or Scottsdale area and looking for one of the hottest nightclubs in the country? If you are, then, ECA has found something right under you nose in Old Town Scottsdale, Arizona. The night club we are referring to is the Sanctuary Night Club.
For starters, when you arrive outside of the club, the stunning exterior will leave you only imagining what could be on the inside.
The Sanctuary, which has a very distinct look outside most resembling a Roman gothic stadium with torches on top of a wall surrounding a courtyard with a warming fire in the middle.
Once you have stepped inside and looked at all of the beautiful people in line, the inside will leave you simply stunned. Each room of the three floor Sanctuary has a theme all its own.
We decided to start our Sanctuary experience in the main area which contains a very large dance floor which we found to be very packed by midnight and the place to be seen inside.
The dance floor is different from many that we have seen in that the professional dancers, both male and female accent the dance floor on podiums and are for sure to get the energy flowing in the room. The dancing combined with the Techno, R&B, New Age and Rock Music will leave you weak in the knees by the end of the night. One thing we really liked about the club was the fact that above the dance floor, Sanctuary has a system that dispenses oxygen at -10 degrees to keep the sweat level down. It is really refreshing when you feel the arctic blast drop down on top of you.
One of the most interesting parts of the Sanctuary was the downstairs. When you step downstairs the feeling of stepping into a cave with a very distinct art and decor is to be expected. When we stopped downstairs we were treated to one of their flaming drinks which was nothing like a drink you might find anywhere else. The drink not only contained dry ice which kept it smoking and the pineapple and strawberry glaze topping the drink in the tall glass was extremely ornamental. We did not know whether to look at it or drink it.
Another feature we liked about the club was that each room had its own theme. It was not like your ordinary night club with bland walls and dimly corners and bar areas. In fact the bar downstairs directly inside from the patio contains all handmade lighted glass for the extra special effect. Upstairs is a VIP room which Sanctuary's General Manager Steve Stevens says is a place to be on the weekends because of the view of the club and the exclusivity that it has inside. " You wouldn't believe what people try to offer the bouncers to get inside. It really is a place where u have something all your own." The decor also stands out as well with bright yellow and red leather couches and sofas to the art on the walls. This is definitely well worth the yearly membership fees accompanying the visit to this part of the bar.
Lastly, as we had the opportunity to dance and have a couple of drinks we must say that both the men and women will not disappointed with the patrons, some of people who look like they belong in pages of Cosmo or GQ magazine.
If you are planning to go to the Sanctuary arrive early as the line on the weekends can sometimes involve a long wait. Whether the line is short or long, once inside the wait will have been well worth it.
The Sanctuary is located at 7340 E. Shoeman Lane in Scottsdale. For more information and directions to the club call (480) 970-5000
