I made an appointment for two of their signature treatments: Savannah's Surrender and their new facial treatment, the H2V Facial. The appointment was made with great ease by an incredibly kind operator within Burke Williams.
Entering from the street and then an elevator, you emerge into the most amazingly calm music in the waiting room. As soon as I said my name they were ready with an escort to the locker room to prepare for my treatment. As I walked back I noticed many Burke Williams therapists who would greet me warmly and kindly as I walked towards the locker room. The amenities in the locker room are out of this world. Hot tubs, saunas, showers and more. Fruit baskets are at every corner with the freshest, most perfectly ripe fruit. Therapists walk around with samples of products for you to use while you relax and wait for your treatments. You are pampered from the minute you walk into this spa!
I went to the lounge and checked in to wait for my first therapy, Savannah's Surrender. I really don't know much about this treatment other than this is a "wet room treatment" and one of their signature treatments. The lounge is a lush room with walls of windows to look out onto Santa Monica and the ocean. There is a gorgeous fireplace next to the couches, an amenities bar with teas and snacks, and all the magazines you could ask for while you wait for your therapist to call your name.
My name was called and I worked my way back to the wet room with my therapist. Friends, let me tell you, why everyone doesn't get Savannah's Surrender at Burke Williams I will never understand.
You walk into this room with a massage bed that has shower heads pouring water all over it, and music washing over you. While I laid down on the massage table head first, this warm, wonderful water washed over me. The water stopped so that they could massage my body with mineral salts while I laid there in complete surrender. As I relaxed into this amazing massage, they turned the warm water back on. My face broke into the most completely sincere smile. I couldn't control it - I just smiled with total delight. The next was a wonderful scrub again, and again, a shower of warm water. I was treated to a body mask, and then that glorious water again. This has to be the most amazing treatment ever invented.
But wait, it doesn't stop there! I left the wet room to immediately meet my facial esthetician. Again, a room filled with music and dim lights. It was a pure spa treatment through and through. My hands and feet were dipped in paraffin while my facial began. Their new line, H2V was such a treat. Each item smelled fresh and lovely. None of the products stung or felt medicinal. Each step of my treatment was customized towards my skin type. She immediately diagnosed me with dehydrated skin and by the time I walked out of there, I looked like I had received a new face!
After my treatments I was further pampered by allowing myself to experience the locker room amenities some more. I grabbed an apple and stepped into the shower. While using their shampoos and conditioner I thought back on what an amazing experience this was, and how I wanted all my friends and family to experience the same thing. Talk about the perfect holiday gift! I just had it!
